Valerie and Ryan are such a fun couple, and Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium was just about the perfect backdrop for their wedding ceremony! This was actually not the first time these two walked down the aisle together – they met at another wedding, where they were a bridesmaid and groomsman, brilliantly paired up. Valerie and Ryan knew on the very first date that they would be together forever! Ryan proposed exactly a year later, with Valerie’s family’s permission (and in front of both families) with his Great-Grandmother’s heirloom ring.
The first glance photos are always so, so much fun to take. It is such a beautiful moment, when a bride and groom see each other for the first time on their wedding day, and for the last time as single people. There’s often laughter, sometimes tears, and in Valerie and Ryan’s case, a really great expression that just says it all….
Valerie’s dress is also a sort of an heirloom: her mother lovingly handmade it, with lace taken from her very own wedding dress!
