Shirin and Albert live in San Francisco, so a December wedding would’ve been a bit chilly closer to home. That’s why we all flew to Zihuatanejo, Mexico! About 45 of their friends and family members joined the adventure: a destination wedding at the exceptionally fantastic Casa Del Arbol (think Swiss Family Robinson as billionaires). The Persian ceremony was beautiful, and the endless views of the Zihua Bay made a pretty nice backdrop…
Of course, romantic travels are not new to these two. For Shirin’s birthday, Albert surprised her with a trip to New York (he had made all the arrangements, including getting her time off from work!). They enjoyed several fun days in the snow, leading up to a nice French dinner Saturday night. Shirin was excited about a special menu available earlier in the evening, so she was rushing Albert to get out the door. In their hurry, Albert FORGOT the ring he was planning to give her with dessert! Shirin knew nothing of his proposal plans, so she just enjoyed the food. By the time they returned to the hotel, Shirin was stuffed and sleepy, but Albert begged her to walk around Times Square with him. It was a battle, but he finally got her to accompany him. Shirin overheard some passing girls gushing, “Look! He’s proposing!” Shirin spun around to catch the action, not realizing that “he” was Albert, this time with the ring!
