How DID we get so lucky? We seem to get to work with only super cool, super fun, super sweet couples. Val and Fede are a perfect example. Val is from Argentina, and Fede is from Italy, but they both ended up studying in Spain. From there, they each took an Erasmus trip to Portugal, along with 50 other people from around the world. There was some shy flirting during the trip, but they really got to know each other on the bus ride back to Valencia. The incredible conversation was just the beginning of an adventurous journey that would eventually wind through Germany (where Fede proposed!) and back to Austin, where the two are living happily and where they’ll be married (in September).
Val told us, “I love so many things about Fede…but I guess among the top things: how he makes me laugh; his originality; how he doesn’t care how other people do things; his patience & understanding; ability to keep his cool, no matter what; affection & tenderness; openness to new/different things; flexibility; way that he brings me “down to earth” when I think I can/must do everything; how we can mix languages when we talk to say things ‘just so’…”
Fede says, “I love many things about Val. I love her sweetness and tenderness, how she is always there for me and supports me when I am unsure of something. I love her tenacity and that she thinks that things are doable and can be done. She doesn’t give up. I love her openness and flexibility, her sense of humor that she is always in a good mood and always there for others… I could continue forever…”
