Angela and Jeff

The funny thing about shared stories, is how two people often remember slightly different versions of the same event. Angela and Jeff, however, share stories that are more than just “a little” different:

According to Angela: We have another Match.com success story! The maid of honor, Heidi, really earned her spot, here – she was the one who forced Angela to try the match-making site, and she was even the one to return Jeff’s first wink. Angela and Jeff took over from there, emailing and talking on the phone for a couple of months before actually going on their first date. It was love at first sight for Jeff, and Angela knew she felt the same way shortly after their second date.

According to Jeff: Jeff was taking a stroll down a beach, just minding his own business. Angela was walking toward him, and as she neared, she was so in awe that she literally passed out right there. Jeff rushed to her and immediately performed CPR. When she finally came to, she took one look into the eyes of her rescuer, and was instantly hooked forever and ever.

Whichever version is closer to actual events, the pair ultimately built a wonderful relationship that led them down the aisle, at the Sahalee Country Club. The forecast predicted lots of rain for the afternoon of the wedding, so everyone was delighted to see nothing but blue skies and sunshine all morning. The fortuitous weather lasted right up until the very last few minutes of the ceremony, when a storm suddenly blew in, with surprising speed and strength. Within seconds, the skies had gone dark, the heavy rain was flying sideways into the tent (which looked like it might be blown away along with all of the flower petals in the aisle)… Guests didn’t know whether to stay put or run for cover! Even the mischievous ring bearers started looking serious.

We all survived the dramatic display, however, and warmed up with dinner before a night of wild dancing.
