Kerin and Clark

Kerin and Clark met through mutual friends several years ago, were instantly smitten, and finally married at the Austin Marriott. It was a pleasure to pop in for a few hours to enjoy a bit of their day with them…

When you think about ceremonies, “hilarious” isn’t often the word that comes to mind, but this one really was. The entire room was filled with tears of laughter. At one point, Kerin paused the ceremony to announce that she had received a traffic ticket earlier in the day (watch out – even brides don’t get a break!). At another point, she dropped Clark’s ring! It all worked out, though, and we moved safely on to the reception, where Kerin and Clark showed off their inner “Disney Princess” and “Prince Charming” (to When You Wish Upon a Star, of course). Kerin’s talented mom made the delectable cake.

My favorite thing about this whole day was actually something Kerin said to me on the phone well before we saw each other (it was a few minutes before 8am, as a matter of fact). She told me that as excited as she was for the wedding, the best part was getting to spend time with all of her beloved guests. She said it was overwhelming, to try to find time to catch up and connect with each person, and she wishes that instead of one big party, they could have invited each person over for a weekend, every weekend of the year. Awww!

After the wedding, the happy newlyweds are heading off on the SURPRISE HONEYMOON that Clark planned! Can’t wait to hear the stories…
