Jenny and Ryan first met in 6th grade, in middle school (Jenny recalls Ryan picking on her a lot). During their senior year in high school, they became better friends and when prom time rolled around, even though they weren’t dating, Ryan decided to ask her to prom. That moment marked the beginning of their romance. Five years later, Ryan assumed Jenny was expecting a proposal, so he figured his best chance at catching her off guard was to NOT plan something elaborate or over the top. Instead, he waited for her to get home from work one Friday night, and as she was sitting on the couch, he got down on one knee!
