Val and Fede were married at Ford Commons Ranch in Austin, TX. We arrived early and spent some time just enjoying the amazing Hill Country view. When Fede and their friends arrived, they began setting up chairs, tables, lighting, decorations and flowers so quickly and expertly – it was actually pretty shocking. Val knew how capable her friends are; when her stylist told her that she was the calmest bride she had seen in ten years, Val said it was because she had so many wonderful people taking care of everything for her… The wedding included influences from some of the many places they’ve been. We loved it when Val started out dancing with her father, then her brothers cut in one by one, and finally Fede cut in to finish out the song. It was a sweet and seamless take on the first dance! Very cool. We also loved the Argentinian tradition with the cake. Instead a of trying to catch a bouquet, all the single ladies here pulled ribbons from between the layers of cake. At the end of each ribbon was a charm, each with a special meaning. The girl who pulled the diamond ring is the next to marry, of course. We also have to mention that the food was oh-my-goodness delicious. Seriously. We eat a lot of wedding food, so we should know.
