Mariya and Brian - Engaged!

Mariya and Brian, in their words: “Here is our story… That’s right. We met on a blind date at Palomino’s restaurant on a Wednesday evening in late February of 2006. Over the next couple of months we shared some great evenings together that were full of smiles, laughter, and thought provoking conversations. When the summer arrived and the weather finally improved we took advantage. One of our favorite dates of the summer was a weeknight when we decided to “walk-on” a ferry from Seattle to Bainbridge Island. We spent the evening walking the docks of the marinas just talking about nothing. After a 45 minute wait we had dinner outside on the deck of the Harbor Pub in Winslow. During the summer of 06 we also spent time boating in the US & Canadian San Juan Islands. Stops included Roche Harbor, Sydney Spit and Poet’s Cove. By the end of summer it was obvious to both of us that we really enjoyed each other’s company and that we had much more in common then we first realized. By Thanksgiving and Christmas we each knew that our relationship was quickly becoming something special and we were excited for what 2007 would bring. Who would have guessed that our blind date would eventually be followed by a wedding just a little more than two years later? After that first date, certainly not us! But as fate will have it, this is exactly what is going be happening June 14th. We are truly blessed.”
